“Super Sun’’ A superb alternative-soul singer who happens to come from Nigeria - and a male counterpart to that country’s new songstresses such as Asa, Nneka and Ayo. Watch for Bez to emerge in the United States in 2012, starting with a visit to SXSW in March.

Just as Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream, so did I. I had a dream that someday I would sit on my couch with a girl (mine preferably as she would probably read this article someday) and watch a Nigerian music video, a video that would tell such a beautiful story that it would leave the woman beside me mushy, cuddly, in tears and yes, in my arms. Thanks to Bez Idakula aka Bez, and his debut video More You from his much-anticipated debut album Super Sun, my dream came true way before Christmas.

Bez is acting all stupid - in a good way. The Nigerian soul singer/songwriter has teamed up with Praiz for That Stupid Song, the new single from Bez’s recently released debut album, Super Sun.

SoulBounce showcases soul music in all of its variations from North America, Europe, and Australia, but if there's one continent that's seriously missing from our coverage, it's Africa. There is so much sound coming out of the Motherland that our ears have yet to hear. However, we're slowly but surely coming around and getting up on artists who we and you need to know about. One such artist is Emmanuel Bezhiwa Idakula, who performs under the name Bez.
